Liability Waiver
All workshops involve the use of tools, materials, and processes that carry inherent risks. By joining, paying for, and participating in any workshop, you voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release Siargao Craft Studio, its instructors, and venue partners from any liability for injuries, damages, or losses that may occur, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
Community Note
Our workshops are led by locals who were born and raised in Siargao. Pottery and silversmithing are relatively new crafts on the island. We've been working closely with our community to learn, grow, and pass on these creative skills.
Your participation supports our mission to train, empower, and create meaningful livelihood opportunities for local artisans. As with any learning process, things may not always be perfect — and we deeply appreciate your patience, openness, and support.
Thank you for being part of our growing creative community.

POTTERY WORKSHOPS
We currently offer two pottery sessions: Clay Play and Make Your Own Mug.
1. Clay Play (Decorative Only)
A beginner-friendly, hands-on session meant for creativity and fun — no kilns, no food-safe finishes.
-
Decorative Use Only
All pieces created during Clay Play are non-food safe and intended for decorative use only. -
No Firing or Glazing
Pieces are air-dried and not processed in the kiln. -
Take-Home Policy
You are expected to take your piece home with you after the session. If you choose to leave your item at the venue and return later, you do so at your own risk. The space may also be used by dine-in guests, and we cannot guarantee the safety or preservation of your piece.
Siargao Craft Studio, instructors, and venue partners are not responsible for any loss or damage in such cases.
2. Make Your Own Mug (Fired & Glazed)
This session includes drying, bisque firing, glazing, and a final high-temperature firing.
-
Clay Use
Any remaining clay is returned to the studio for reuse. -
Processing Time
The full pottery process takes 3 to 6 months. Delays may occur based on weather, kiln availability, or studio schedule. -
Firing Risks
Not all pieces survive the kiln. While every effort is made to handle pieces with care, Siargao Craft Studio and Siargao Pottery are not liable for any breakages or defects caused during drying or firing. -
Photo Record Requirement
Before leaving the studio, please take clear photos of your finished piece. This serves as a reference for identifying your work during the packing stage. Without this record, we cannot guarantee that the correct piece will be returned to you. -
Pick-Up Window
You’ll be contacted when your mug is ready. You will have 1 month to claim it. After this, unclaimed items may be sold or discarded due to limited storage. -
Breakage Disclaimer
We are not responsible for cracks, chips, or glaze defects that may occur during the process. -
Delivery Option
If you're no longer in Siargao, you may arrange for your piece to be picked up by a third-party trucking service from Siargao to Manila.-
Delivery may take several days.
-
We will provide contact information, but you are solely responsible for coordinating and covering all logistics and handling.
-
Once in Manila, your piece can be picked up at the delivery provider’s warehouse.
